This week we're traveling back in time to one of the most titillating releases in Madonna's career: the SEX book. Published in 1992, with photography by Steven Meisel, SEX depicted a rarely clothed Madonna in various sexual situations alongside a who's who of guest stars -- and the book was a runaway success. Though its release did not go without controversy and backlash, to this day, SEX remains the fastest selling coffee-table book and is one of the most sought-after, out-of-print books in the country.

Christian Vincent: Cowboys, Choreography & Madonna

We are thrilled to welcome multi-talented performer Christian Vincent to the podcast!

Christian was the dance captain for Madonna's Drowned World Tour and also appeared in the iconic "Don't Tell Me" video. We talk about becoming a dancer, appearing in movies, off-Broadway and television, including the ground-breaking show Noah's Arc, getting to be one of the first men of color to appear in a Hallmark Christmas movie, and what happens when Madonna tells you to go country line dancing. 

He has choreographed many projects, including the upcoming LIfetime original movie about Salt n Pepa, and has been educating the next generation of dancers in master classes around the world.

The Art of Dance, Hard Candy Fitness and Training Madonna with Marlyn Ortiz

This week, we are excited to welcome Marlyn Ortiz to the podcast!

A New York native, Marlyn is a dancer, choreographer, and aerialist for the stage and screen as well as functioning as Madonna's personal fitness trainer for several years.

We talk about her career-defining roles in De La Guarda, Fuerza Bruta, plus Disney's Tarzan on Broadway, creating fitness regimens for Hard Candy Fitness and what it's like to have danced with Madonna on two of her most enduring tours- Drowned World and Reinvention.

Madonna, Poetry & Interstellar Travel with Ben Kline

Prepare yourself for an impressive instant this week, when poet Ben Kline joins us on the podcast.

We discuss Ben's Madonna Journey, how he got into writing poetry and he graces us with a very special Madonna-centric poem titled "Waiting for a Drowned World I Find (a Cento)."

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ben, a lifelong Madonna fan, took up yoga before M made it cool and will fight you over the artistic merit of American Life.

Actor Bayne Gibby: Life In Hollywood and Madonna Improv

In this episode, we welcome actor, writer and director Bayne Gibby to the podcast, for a special super-sized episode. We discuss her life in Hollywood and do a bit of Madonna improv!

Best known for her role as Gigi on the HBO series The Comeback with Lisa Kudrow, Bayne has a long list of film and TV credits. She's appeared in the Oscar Nominated film Lady Bird, the HBO series Enlightened, as well as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Hot in Cleveland opposite Betty White, and Mad Men to name a few. Prior to the pandemic, Bayne could be seen regularly at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater LA in the musical improv show Magic to Do. And recently, her first children's book, You Mean the World to Me, was published by Scholastic.

Illustrating Madonna: Liam Alexander

This week are joined by UK-based artist Liam Alexander. Liam has been focusing his art on creating comic-book style covers of artists and their respective catalog of albums. He has done series devoted to Bjork and Kate Bush and most recently, he completed his 14-print comic book cover art project of the one and only, Madonna. 

We chat about Liam's favorite Madonna era, Ray of Light, and he also joins us for our very first installment of Madonna Trivia.
