Tango With Madonna: Luca Tommassini

We are so excited to return for Season 3 with our very special interview featuring the inimitable Luca Tommassini!

Luca is an accomplished dancer, actor and choreographer based in Rome, Italy. Among his many credits, He has worked with Icons like Michael Jackson, Prince, Ricky Martin, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Geri Halliwell and Kylie Minogue among many others.

We speak with him about his extensive collaborations with Madonna on The Girlie Show Tour, the "Bedtime Story" performance at The Brits and working on the "Human Nature" video as well as appearing in Evita.

In this revealing conversation, Luca also tells us about his work on some of the most popular films of the 90s, working with Kylie, his time on the X-Factor and of course, his work with Madonna.

MLVC x Erotica: an episode two seasons in the making! For the season two finale, Tony and Stefan revisit 1992 with a tribute honoring one of Madonna’s most provocative and iconic eras ever.  

There are special contributions from author Abdi Nazemian, poet Ben Kline, graphic designer Donald Ely, fans Sean Alexander, Jennifer Barnhart & Michael Politakis, as well as musical stylings from friend-of-the-podcast, Liberty Rentrop. Tony highlights some interesting facts from Shep Pettibone’s “Erotica Diaries” and there is the world premiere of “Mistress Dita,” an original song written & produced by none other than co-host Stefan, as a tribute to M’s Erotica alter-ego.

Ingrid Chavez: Justify My Love, Poetry & Prince

Tony and Stefan welcome Ingrid Chavez to the MLVC podcast this week!

Ingrid is a poet, songwriter, singer and artist, who had a chance encounter with Prince and began creating music with him to launch her solo career. She also co-starred with him in his movie "Graffiti Bridge". 

But, some Madonna fans might be surprised to know that Ingrid just so happens to be the woman who wrote one of M's most iconic number one songs: Justify My Love. Hear Ingrid's story about how that #1 hit came to be and why, after 30 years, she is finally releasing her very own version of the song.

Tamara Levinson: Madonna and MovMEANT

This week we are joined by Tamara Levinson, a US Olympian, dancer, choreographer, aerialist and contortionist, who has performed with Madonna on three iconic world tours. Though she says she is "not a dancer", her dancing has helped her to soar to some lofty heights: in Drowned World as M's Candy Perfume Girl, Reinvention had her going baroque in Vogue, and in Confessions she boogied to some Music Inferno -- as well as many other memorable numbers.

 

Tamara also tells us about her time representing the USA Rhythmic Gymnastics team at the 1992 Olympic Games, about performing On and Off Broadway in De La Guarda & Fuerzabruta and living in Portugal where she online teaches her therapeutic movement technique called MovMEANT.
